There's a rainbow always after the rain

Don't mind me. Cheesy songs make me squirm. But I just had to say it. There's a rainbow after the rain.

This may be a rather long post, but bare my yakking. I have some cool stuff to share.

Let me start off with Accounting. Do I have to say it? I still shudder when I think of it. I failed the last long test. Yes, failed. Not that I didn't expect it. Others did not jump for joy either. It just becomes such a huge blow when I have to think I NEED to do exceptionally well on the next exam.

I think the teacher had it worse than me though. Towards the end of each semester, students fill out evaluation forms rating how the teacher fared as an educator. Today was the day of her evaluation. I was merciless. I was ruthless. But one has to wonder: after all her years of teaching, hasn't she received far worse evaluations than what I put in there today? Does she really have to continue on? Hardeharhar. Part of Neri's evaluation read:

What do you like best about the teacher: Nothing
What do you like least hate about the teacher: Everything

Nice.

LS10 (Leadership and Strategy 10). One of the worst and kinkiest courses a Management major has to take. The course is taught by a balding, middle-aged, fully-clothed exhibitionist. Caps and umbrellas are inadequate inventions to protect what some of the students (mostly in the front row - including me) have to bare. This instructor is a direct descendany of a line of successful contortionists. Each lecture, he raises his legs and widens his thighs to high lengths and lifts one of his legs up at the side of his students' chairs. Me included. Me included many many many times before. He reminds me of that turtle dude in Master of Disguise (a film which I have yet to see). He bored me to tears today. A plan of excaping one by one was in the making. But I don't think this plan would be very successful if all the students from the right side of the room were to suddenly all "go to the bathroom" later with no intentions of coming back.

Don't even ask about History. I received the last exam's marks as well. I'd rather not think about it.

Sci10 was quite interesting. Ah yes, the course taught by my only professor who wears a barong - an American Jesuit. He was jolly enough today to do an impression of Dolly the sheep. You can just imagine...

Now for the rainbow. Remember some few weeks back about Calculus. See, since it's a six-unit course, we get to take six long exams, plus a midterm, and a final. I got two Fs on the first two long exams. On the third exam, I got the third highest marks. On the midterm, I got the second highest marks.

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE.

I got the results of yesterday's exam. I HAD THE HIGHEST SCORE IN CLASS.

^$%^#$%#$@#@&$%^$$@$%$@%$&^$%^#$%#$@#@&$%^$$@$%$@%

91/100 baby. And for the record, there was no bonus question.

Right after class, I zoomed to Quad 2 (still at school) to see a P20 worth SUGARFREE and BAMBOO concert.
Behold the pictures:

Sugarfree was tardy (they were the first act). The concert was slotted for 430-6. They began at around 5, so in the meantime, I was staring at Bamboo and their guitarist. Sugarfree came, took up most of the time with their looong lineup. Don't get me wrong. I like these guys, but I was there for Bamboo.
Then Bamboo finally came on. Aaaahh. Heaven. But after two songs, the lights died out and the music stopped. OAS pulled the plug. It was past six. They have exceeded their limit. Bamboo was gesturing for them to play one more song. But nooooooo. I was delirious. I had to see more of them.

Bah. I got their CD instead. It came with a free poster. Bah.

But then after the whole frenzy, we all went to Gerry's Grill for Char's birthday dinner.

Happy birthday, girl. You may be born the same day as a violent and ugly wolf, but you get to keep the flowers. =)

Char

I had fun. There's always a rainbow after the rain.

(Half of me wants to continue on by saying there'll be a storm tomorrow again anyway, but I can restrain myself)
